Milan Jelisavcic is a Researcher PhD Candidate at the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. He studied Computer Engineering at the University of Kragujevac and University of Belgrade. After MSc, he worked at RT-RK Institute for Computer Based Systems as Embedded Software Engineer.
His interest is focused on developing an evolving robot organisms. The research includes an implementation of a visionary robotic system where individuals can autonomously adapt their behaviour(s) and improve their bodies over successive generations by means of evolution. The work is based on a long term vision of the Evolution of Things, a concept for an evolutionary system where the subject of evolution is physical artefacts.
